THIS IS A HOMEGROWN EXTRA WITH RENE MEAVE.... Rene Meave has been with Los Bandits de Michigan since 1991. The band does Tex-Mex music and other genres. Mr. Meave has performed with and mentored many fine musicians in the area over the years including Frankie Ballard. Mr. Meave writes original songs and is with the Chilipepper Songwriting Club. This songwriting club hosts a monthly writer's night. The event is every third Sunday of the month from 6-9 pm at M-89 Sports Bar & Grill, 129 E. Allegan St., Otsego, MI. This is a time for songwriters to bring 3 of their original works to perform for an audience. They also feature songwriters with a 30 minute showcase when ever possible. This group celebrates it's four-year anniversary in November.
