LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Mitt Romney will attend a tea party event in southeastern Michigan on Thursday. His campaign says he'll speak in Oakland County's Milford Township. The Michigan native has been trying to combat the rise in popularity by ex-Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. He seems to be doing something right--A new Mitchell Research poll shows Romney with 32-percent support. Santorum stands at 30-percent support in the survey. At one time, Santorum had a 15-point lead over Romney in a Public Policy Polling survey.
