Carrie Underwood talks laundry with Oprah Sunday Posted May 18, 2012 by PJ Lacey

No not dirty laundry, Carrie tells Oprah how she likes to do laundry (really?) and grocery shopping!

It freaks her out to have others do her laundry, so while on the road she grabs the quarters and fires up the spin cycle.   Her interview with Oprah airs on OWN Sunday 5/20.

Would you do your own laundry if you didn't have too?

The Kennedy Curse Posted May 18, 2012 by PJ Lacey

The late Edward Kennedy once suggested that America's royal family suffered from a curse.

Mary Kennedy, estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., dies of an apparent
suicide. She was 52.

From President and Robert Kennedy's assasinations to former Senator Edward Kennedy's tragic Chappaquiddick accident-

to Jfk jr. and his wifes fatal plane crash, the curse Senator Kennedy spoke of seems to be validated.  Peace be with you Mary and family.

Donna Summer died at 63 Posted May 17, 2012 by PJ Lacey

Donna Summer has died of cancer at age 63. A very talented lady who will certainly be missed. She beat out the Bee Gees for "Most successful act of 1979." You couldn't get away from her music on the radio or in the clubs. Sad news, indeed.

5 time Grammy winner has been nominated several times for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame but hasn't had enough votes to get in yet. Love this song, used to play it at the Holiday Inn in the 80's.

Tmz reports her death was from lung cancer.  She's survived by her husband, vocalist Bruce Sudano, 3 daughters and four grandchildren.  We'll always remember you as the Queen of Disco, rest in peace.

Questions to ask women and win Posted May 16, 2012 by PJ Lacey

Guys, relationship guru Laura Snyder tells you to ask if we need anything? You'll gain extra points!

The #2 thing to ask is "Could you help me", we'd be flattered!  And the top melt-worthy thing you can say, "How was Your Day".  Sounds simple, but it works like diamonds or lending a hand?

Things Women Wish Men Would Figure Out

by Laura Snyder

All the stuff women expect you to know without them telling you:

Saying "I love you" before, during or after sex doesn't count.
When she asks you how she looks, "fine" is not an appropriate answer.
She obsesses over whether you'll call from the moment she gave you her number.
She fantasizes. But it's usually about you.
She loves it when you email her at work.
No matter how cool she seems about it, if you did something bad, she's pissed off.
Don't patronize her by asking if her bad mood is because of PMS.
Don't ever tell her what to do, even when she asks you to.
She will leave you if you lie to her.
She's unimpressed by men who don't take the lead. Be a man, darnit!
She loves when you hold her hand.
She needs to hear how you feel about her. Tell her right now. And again in ten minutes.
She wants to be the best thing that ever happened to you -- and for you to know it.
If she doesn't feel loved, she'll start looking elsewhere.
Don't talk about your ex. Ever.
She remembers everything about her relationships. Yes, everything.
She lets you fix things.
You're sexiest when you're: sweating, driving, shaving, or holding a baby.
She's faked it.
Groping and foreplay are not the same thing.
While we're on the subject: more foreplay!
If she's not [being physical] it's because: she feels fat; she doesn't feel very close to you, or she is punishing you for not doing something her way.
She thinks you should have already known all this stuff.

What's your man do that makes you smile?  (be nice)

Facebook Stock for college fund Posted May 16, 2012 by PJ Lacey

Jade Supple was riding with her dad in Rockville Centre, N.Y. when she asked him, "Daddy, can I buy some of the Facebook company?

Her dads been teaching her about investing in the stock market and investing in eBay and Disney. He believes if it goes the Google route, he'll be in good shape for her college fund.

Yesterday they upped their forecast saying shares will sell for $34 to $38. Facebook is likely to be the third largest IPO in history behind Visa and General Motors.

Update- Friday 5/18 -

The guessing game is over: Facebook shares will go at $38 apiece today.

That price puts the total value of Facebook at $104 billion, the highest ever for a US company at its IPO.

At $38 per share, the site is set to raise $18.4 billion.

I'm off mowing probation Posted May 14, 2012 by PJ Lacey

I don't know if it's a good thing but I'm finally off mowing probation.

It has been almost a decade (and it was a tiny pecan tree), but that's better than the afternoon i saw a snake.  I ran in the house, Dad caught the rider before it hit the ditch.  What's your mowing mojo? 2nd or 3rd gear?

Prom Plunge in Three Rivers Posted May 9, 2012 by PJ Lacey

We all have prom stories,  but these teens in Three Rivers have the soggiest!

They were saying cheese when the dock collapsed at Corey Lake.  No one was hurt, they just stopped by the house and got the hair dryer fired up.

What's your prom story?
